Pay Rate: Min $17.48 Mid $20.10 Position Summary
Deliver care to patients under the direction/delegation of the Registered Nurse or licensed nurse assigned by the RN, as needed, and must be able to perform satisfactorily the specific patient care skills as outlined by the facility and the department(s). Must effectively interact with patients, families and other health team members. Must report pertinent information to the RN or licensed nurse assigned by the RN, as needed, and respond to requests for information in a timely manner. Assist with tasks to support patient care.

- Performs removal of peripheral IVs including documentation in EMR as delegated by the RN
- Performs removal of urinary catheters including documentation in EMR as delegated by the RN
- Performs insertion of urinary straight catheters as delegated by the RN

- High School or Equivalent
Essential:
- Actively enrolled in a state approved RN program and completion of first semester of required nursing sequence. Must maintain active status and progression in clinical nursing sequence to stay eligible for job code. during the entire length of time in this job code. Once graduated from nursing school, the Nurse Intern has two options. Option One: successfully pass NCLEX-RN exam and start next available Nurse Residency cohort. Option Two: move to PCA position if unsuccessful in NCLEX-RN exam or choose to not start in Nurse Residency Program’s next available cohort.

Experience Essential: Completion of first semester of required nursing sequence of state approved RN program.
Degree Type: Actively enrolled in a state approved RN program and completion of first semester of required nursing sequence. Must maintain active status and progression in clinical nursing sequence during the entire length of time in this job code.
