Pay Rate : $18.22-$20.96 Position Summary
The PAS Operator is responsible to the Supervisor and Manager of HIM. This position is responsible for answering and processing calls for physicians and staff, taking and delivering messages, make announcements over the public address system and paging staff as needed. Maintain on call schedules and deliver consultation requests to both physicians and their representatives. Provide backup coverage for the PBX operators. Perform other duties as assigned.

- Standard Work Duties: Physicians Answering Services Operator
- Provides exceptional customer service by answering calls with speed and courtesy. Completes call in an efficient manner.
- Ensures that messages are clear, complete, accurate, and delivered in a timely and prompt manner.
- Ensures that call changes are loaded promptly.
- Responds to and announce STAT and Emergency calls and situations with speed and accuracy.
- Responds to adverse customer situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Immediately notifies department leadership of any equipment malfunctions, procedural violations or personnel issues.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with all team members.
- Actively participates in team development, achieving dashboards, and in accomplishing department goals and objectives.
- Provides relief coverage for PBX side.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential:
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to type 40 WPM.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear diction, proper grammar.
