If yes, Lakemary is looking for an Admissions Specialist for our Children's Residential Service Program. This position is responsible for completing the referral process for assigned states/territories from initial inquiry to admission. They work closely with referral sources including parents/guardians, school districts, and insurance providers throughout the admissions process to provide comfort and assistance.
Admissions Specialist Responsibilities:
- Respond to general inquires submitted through the Lakemary website
- Assist in returning admissions related calls
- Maintain the CRM and ensure all information is recorded, updated, and accurate at all times
- Assist in scheduling and conducting tours of Lakemary when needed
- Become well versed in each state’s specific funding process
- Assist in requesting specific records/documentation related to each referral from guardians and stakeholders
- Help ensure all required documents are received and provided to the Admissions and Review team
- Assist in gathering all admissions paperwork including consents, insurance cards, and legal documents
- Distribute records and information to the appropriate Lakemary team members for each admit.
- Utilization of time management skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with children having a variety of disabilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with families and referral agencies.
- Ability to be flexible and work in different residential and treatment situations to accommodate the disabilities of the child and treatment service needs.
- Each individual working shall be qualified by temperament, emotional maturity, judgment, and understanding of residents necessary to maintain the health, comfort, safety, and welfare of individuals placed in psychiatric residential treatment facilities. KDHE PRTF Regulations 28-4-1207(a)
Admissions Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree: Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or comparable fields preferred
- 3 years experience working in an office setting; Experience working with children and individuals with development and/or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
Other Job Details:
- Day Hours: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm
- Starting pay: $ 20/hour
