Job Description
$2,500 Sign on Bonus ($1,250 paid out at 6 months and $1,250 paid out at 1 year)
Lakemary is looking for a mental health therapist for our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. This position will work with children with developmental disabilities and co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses, in a residential environment. This role functions under general supervision of a Clinical Director.
Program Therapist Responsibilities:
- Manage client caseload.
- Provide individual, family and group therapy.
- Create and manage treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and complete timely documentation.
An ideal candidate for this position will:
- Communicate with persons served who have a variation in disabilities.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance at work site.
- Be flexible and work in different treatment situations to accommodate the disabilities of the person served and treatment service needs.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with persons served and work effectively as a professional in a treatment team effort.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Mental Health Therapist Qualifications:
- Minimum Master Level Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or comparable fields of counseling, with clinical level licensure for independent practice and supervision (e.g., LPC, LCPC, LMSW, LSCSW, LMFT). Applicants who meet Kansas licensure requirements may be considered if Kansas licensure is obtained by time of an employment offer and licensure is pending confirmation at the time of employment application. Candidates will be required to successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
