Location : District-WideJob Summary : The Marketing and Communications Specialist develops and executes strategies to promote enrollment, fundraising, and advocacy initiatives. This position ensures the school's messaging is consistent, engaging, and effectively reaches all relevant stakeholders. Reports to the Enrollment and Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities : Social Media : Manage social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), including creating and scheduling daily posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing results.Work with the Enrollment and Marketing Manager to design a comprehensive social media strategy to attract and retain students, parents, grandparents, and others.Identify target audiences and select the most appropriate social media platforms and messaging.Develop a content calendar to plan and organize posts across platforms.Write, design, and curate engaging and visually appealing content (text, images, videos, etc.).Ensure content adheres to the LILA Style Guide and aligns with LILA's brand voice and messaging.Track and analyze key performance metrics (e.g., likes, shares, impressions, click-through rates) to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.Manage paid social media advertising campaigns (e.g., Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads).Optimize campaigns for reach, engagement, and conversions.Experiment with new features and platforms to keep the organization relevant.Adapt strategies to changes in algorithms or platform policies.Event Promotion and Support : Promote events such as open houses, Kinder Roundup, and cultural fairs through print and digital materials.Under the direction of the Enrollment and Marketing Manager, coordinate event logistics, such as decorations, live streaming, and working with photographers.Manage school tours as needed.Marketing : Create promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, yard signs, billboards, and email newsletters to attract prospective students and families,Manage and update the school's website and all published content.Create, manage, and update print and online materials for various LILA stakeholders.Develop advocacy-specific content, including legislative updates, fact sheets, and social media campaigns, to support public policy efforts.Adhere to LILA's style guide.Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.Excellent English writing and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for various audiences.Experience with website management and design platforms (e.g., Canva, WordPress).Proficiency in Spanish / Mandarin is a plus!Salary : $20-$25 / hour (part-time) or $41,600-$52,000 annually.
