Family Support Specialist & Parent Education Facilitator

Lakes Region Community Services (LRCS) is still accepting applications for a full-time Family Support Specialist and Parent Education Facilitator to join our team at the Family Resource Center! The Family Support Specialist provides home visits primarily to families involved in the Step Ahead program in compliance with the agency’s policies and Comprehensive Family Supports and Services (CFSS) contract. The primary focus is to prevent child abuse and neglect. The Family Support Specialist will also provide group parenting education.

Requirements

A minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. Minimum of one year experience working with families and/or children. Education or experience in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Early Childhood Education or closely related field preferred The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, recognize appropriate boundaries with families and individuals, maintain confidentiality, maintain respective and appropriate communication, and work collaboratively with family and individuals involved in the family’s life.
