Essential Responsibilities
This is a great opportunity for an APRN that is looking for an outpatient opportunity.
- Works under the clinical direction of the Medical Director.
- Functions as the primary expert clinician/practitioner for a select group of patients.
- Acts as a resource and works collaboratively with the health care team to ensure that both practice and professional standards are identified and maintained in the delivery of patient care and that mutually determined patient outcomes are achieved.
- Provides skilled specialty services of: medical assessment; psychotherapy with individuals, couples, families, groups; prescription, administration and monitoring of medications and their effects; and coordination of care with interdisciplinary and interagency treatment teams as well as family members
- Promotes excellence in patient care while supporting and facilitating professional growth and development, upholding standards of professionalism.
- Independently prescribes pharmacologic and psychopharmologic drugs.
- Assumes administrative and/or clinical responsibility for achieving facility and patient objectives.
Qualifications
Master's degree or its equivalent from a recognized college, institute or university with major study in nursing, and graduation from an advanced practice registered nurse program that meets qualifications established by the Board of Nursing Examiners for the specialty in Medical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing Education. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification.
