What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Services Representative position at Lakes Region Mental Health Center?
Essential Responsibilities
- Verify health insurance information and enter details into electronic billing system
- Meet with patients at their intake appointment to review and explain administrative paperwork
- Process internal referrals for additional services
- Review account balances with patients as needed
- Set up patient payment plans and collect balances owed
- Assist patients with their insurance benefit questions
- Address client statement inquires
Qualifications
Minimum of High School Diploma. Experience in a medical setting with strong telephone and organizational skills are a must. Familiarity with MS Word and Excel. Ability to communicate with peers, work independently as well as on a team and multi-tasking skills are essential. Experience working in an electronic medical record is a plus. Must excel in handling high stress situations, as well as the ability to deal with all types of personalities. Must also have valid Driver's License.
