Master’s Level Clinical Internship
Purpose
LRMHC recognizes the need for trained professionals in our growing field as we see demand for services increase in our communities. We are excited to partner with area colleges and universities to offer internship programs for students pursuing their Master’s in human services.
Qualifications
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited Master’s level Counseling or Social Work program.
Program
LRMHC’s Master’s internship program is run in a cohort model, and provides opportunities for students to practice clinical skills in a variety of settings, including individual counseling, group counseling, and training. All interns are supervised by licensed practitioners, and receive support through individual supervision, group cohort supervision, and peer supervision. LRMHC’s program is highly self-reflective and prioritizes the development of each intern’s unique perspective and way of being in the counseling profession.
Responsibilities
- Attend Intern Orientation;
- Provide in-person and telehealth counseling services to patients;
- Complete all required documentation via the electronic medical record;
- Attend weekly team meetings;
- Attend weekly individual supervision;
- Attend monthly group supervision;
- Develop at least 1 therapy group;
- Develop at least 1 training on a topic of interest (supervised by group/cohort supervisor);
- Complete all relevant trainings as determined by the assigned supervisor.
