Lake Regional Healthcare is currently seeking a Scheduling Specialist to deliver the best possible service promoting the aide in LRH’s Central Scheduling Team and LRH.
SUMMARY:
Imaging Services Scheduling Specialist is responsible for the care coordination of the Imaging Department. Schedules Imaging diagnostic orders from physicians, interpret physician requests for diagnostic tests and schedule according to required patient care protocols.
Provides a clean, safe, work environment within the Imaging department utilizing time and resources wisely with adherence to department and hospital policies and procedures. Specialist will provide a warm welcoming first impression for the Imaging department while handling multiple patient inquiries and problems. Coordinates the comprehensive care of Imaging patients frequently via telephone to include, but not limited to receiving physician's orders, coordinating multiple services, scheduling, and rescheduling appointments.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Two years' health related experience with an emphasis on registration or insurance processing preferred. Qualified candidate will exhibit strong communication skills, with ability to think critically and problem solve in short time frames.
