What are the responsibilities and job description for the Screenprint Team Lead - Day Shift position at Lakeshirts?
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Under the direction of the Production Manager, this position is accountable for overall supervision and productivity of assigned screenprint cell teams, including effective communication with team members regarding priorities, work load and deadlines.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4p
A Typical Day (job functions) | Motivate Monitor Check-in Direct Lead
- Ensure team members are appropriately trained in the areas of job responsibility, safety, and company policy
- Motivate all team members to achieve personal and department success
- Monitor daily attendance and punctuality; keep Workday updated and process bi-weekly payroll sign-off procedures
- Conduct daily SIFs and weekly check-ins with the team and report performance/attendance issues to the Production Manager
- Conduct quarterly performance and yearly increase reviews with employees in conjunction with the Production Manager
- Manage and direct daily priorities set by the Production Manager
- Understand and utilize production reports and work orders to organize and manage priorities
- Request help from other areas to meet goals
- Maintain Lakeshirts' acceptable standard of quality; meet goals in the area of garments per employee hour, on-time percentages, and error rate
- Follow safety practices. Identify problems and work to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance with OSHA standards
- Work actively with others in the department and company to achieve positive results
- Other duties as assigned
Skills (qualifications) | Excellent Leadership Effective Communication People-Oriented
- High school education or GED
- Leadership background/experience preferred
- Train the Trainer Program preferred but not required
- Must have strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to get results through the team
- Must know Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), problem resolution, sound judgment, pro-active, people-oriented, flexible, organized, diplomatic, strong listening skills, reliable, enthusiastic, courteous, and result-oriented
- Ability to work well in a team
- Hours must be flexible according to workloads
- Must be highly organized with the ability to work with deadlines and changing priorities
- Must be in good standing with attendance
