This is an entry-level position designed to lead to full-time Union employment. Once you are fully trained and offered a DRIVER or ASSISTANT DRIVER position, you will become a member of the Teamsters Union Local No.703 and receive benefits under the contract of the Chicago Beer Wholesalers Association.
The Delivery Trainee will assist and/or perform the tasks required to deliver our beverage products, such as unloading each retailer’s order and placing it in the designated area, filling all coolers and shelves, and straightening all products in the retail space, among other duties. This is physically demanding work due to the weight of beverage products and the volume of product that goes out for delivery each day, and requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds repetitiously and manipulate (push/pull) heavier weights, such as kegs of beer.
While you are learning how to handle the products, as a Delivery Trainee you will also work toward attaining your Class A CDL. Delivery Trainees are required to obtain a CDL learner permit during the first 60 days of employment. Applicants who already have a CDL learner permit at the time of application will receive priority consideration for employment.

The ideal candidate will be a true “people person" with a strong commitment to excellent customer service who will enjoy being out in the market with the customers and taking care of their product delivery needs.
