As a Clinical Documentation Specialist at Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical billing and coding for daily processing. Your expertise in coding and reimbursement regulations will ensure maximum reimbursement for our patients.
Responsibilities:- Review patient documents for accuracy, including office visits, surgical, and non-surgical procedures.
- Ensure proper coding on provider documentation and verify that all codes are current and active.
- Report missing and/or incomplete documentation to providers and/or clinical staff.
- Meet daily coding production expectations and perform accurate charge entries.
- Minimum of 1-year of coding experience, preferably in orthopedics.
- Associates and/or Bachelor's degree preferred.
