Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety standards.
- Manage patient appointments and maintain accurate medical records using software such as Dentrix.
- Must be able to take impressions and make temporary crowns.
- Assist with prosthodontics procedures as needed, including the preparation of materials and instruments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic, including treatment areas and waiting rooms.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans and post-operative care.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is required.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
- Must be able to take x-rays, take dental impressions, and make temporary crowns.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix is needed.
- Knowledge of medical records management and compliance with health regulations is essential.
