Based in Detroit, this is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands federal acquisition, and can lead large multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership across all federal construction and infrastructure projects.
- Manage full project lifecycle—from scope and planning to execution and closeout.
- Ensure strict compliance with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations.
- Oversee nationwide teams of project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Serve as a key liaison to federal agencies including DOD, GSA, VA, and HUD.
- Lead risk assessment, quality control, safety, and contract performance.
- Support proposal development and federal bid strategies alongside business development.
- Drive operational efficiency, budget performance, and client satisfaction.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 10 years of federal project management experience, including 5 in executive leadership.
- Extensive knowledge of federal contracting vehicles (IDIQ, MACC, MATOC, design-build).
- Certifications like PMP or CCM highly preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel to key project locations as needed.
