Job Overview
Lakeshore Recycling Systems LLC is seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Residential Waste Hauler to join our team. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service while operating a truck in a safe manner, collecting and hauling waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Route Servicing: Safely operate a truck on assigned routes to collect and haul waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant.
- Customer Service: Provide waste or recycling removal services to customers on assigned routes by emptying trash/recycling receptacles into the truck and hauling to a disposal site.
- Maintenance and Safety: Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections, maintain and update route sheets, and clean up waste spills and overflows.
- Log Keeping: Maintain and update driver's log sheets to ensure accurate records of activities.
- Interactions: Interact professionally with internal and external customers to resolve any issues or concerns.
Requirements:
- Licenses and Certifications: Must have a valid Class B CDL and DOT medical card.
- Age and Eligibility: Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Safety Training: Must successfully complete pre-employment testing and participate in ongoing safety training.
- Language Skills: Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.
