Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $40.00 - $59.00 per hour
- Location: Lakewood, CO
- Software: Epic EMR
Required Qualifications:
- Active Colorado State Dental Hygienist License
- 1 year of experience as a Dental Hygienist
- 1 year of experience working with elderly or frail patients
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform professional dental hygiene care under the supervision of a Dentist.
- Screen and evaluate patients for cavities, periodontal conditions, and medical history.
- Prepare treatment materials and trays based on individual patient needs.
- Take, process, and mount radiographs.
- Administer local anesthetics and conduct gross debridement for acute periodontal conditions.
- Conduct scaling, root planing, curettage, and prophylaxis.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, nutrition, brushing, and flossing techniques.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures performed.
- Assist with training and support for dental assistants.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of treatment rooms and instruments.
