Lakeshore Talent has partnered with an esteemed litigation law firm in Chicago to find a Legal Support Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some legal experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively.
Salary is $40K – $45K with flexibility for more based on experience. Bonus eligible.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys seeing case files from intake to resolution.
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and case materials.
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court filings.
Maintain and organize case files, both electronically and physically.
Assist with document review, data entry, and other case-related tasks.
Handle client communications with professionalism and confidentiality.
Qualifications :
1-2 years of legal support experience for a firm that specializes in Civil and Commercial Litigation.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with the Legal case management system Caret is a strong plus.
Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities in a team-oriented environment.
