Lakeshore Talent has teamed up with a dynamic upstream oil and gas company based out of Denver to find an experienced Project Manager for an exciting opportunity. As a Project Manager, you will spearhead the planning, execution, and successful culmination of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) projects. This pivotal role demands a seasoned professional who can ensure safe, cost-effective, and timely delivery of capital projects in the CCUS domain.
Position: Project Manager
Location: Denver, CO
Compensation: $100-$125 per hour
Travel: Up to 25%
Duration: 6 month contract with potential for extension or possibly hire
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in executing CCUS capital projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to established project management processes.
- Ensure project team follows established dCarbon Ventures project management processes
- Develop and implement robust processes for project identification, appraisal, design, and execution while ensuring economic viability and risk mitigation.
- Drive continuous improvement by documenting and applying lessons learned from project experiences.
- Maintain strict control over project scope, schedule, and costs throughout all phases ensuring the project economic model is reliable and accurate.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Geology, Land, Business Development, and expert consultants.
- Develop and apply the project playbook and best practices tool kit
- Manage and establish relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure quality delivery.
- Other duties as necessary to support project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 10 years of project management experience in the oil and gas sector, preferably with exposure to carbon injections or CCUS.
- Extensive experience managing large capital projects such as roads, pipelines, refineries and power plants.
- Experience working at a public company in multiple areas of the project management function.
- Ability to develop and then deliver a complex set of competing objectives.
- Strong knowledge of the stages of project development from concept definition to design and planning processes to EPC work.
- Knowledge of use of stage gates, budgets, FID decision making processes.
- Experience assessing the costs, benefits and risks associated with a project to determine financial feasibility and potential return on investment (ROI).
- Advanced interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills.
