SHIFT: Day/evening/weekend hours | Flexible based upon the needs of the College
LOCATION: Lakeshore College – Cleveland, Wisconsin
POSITION SUMMARY: Manage Testing Services including the day-to-day operations of the department. Provide Testing Services for Lakeshore students and community members, community agencies and area businesses, high schools and other Lakeshore stakeholders requiring testing services. Serve as Chief GED Examiner for the District. Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned):
(50%) GENERAL TESTING SERVICE
- Administer national, state, and local standardized external assessments, internal course-specific exams, and other tests required for instruction, individuals, and employers.
- Schedule and maintain appropriate records of student assessments.
- Serve as the college contact for all the testing platforms used in Testing Services.
- Use key programs to support and evaluate tests issued.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of testing software, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with Accommodation Services to provide approved test accommodations.
- Train staff to administer unique technical specifications for each exam, including how to troubleshoot and correct issues, interpret scores, and process paperwork.
- Oversee data entry of testing results, using automation when necessary. Interface with Lakeshore personnel regarding testing results. Track revenue earned.
- Maintain test integrity using camera surveillance, active proctoring, and train staff to identify violators. Interface with faculty, deans, and college leadership when test security is breached.
- Oversee Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) test-outs. Interface with faculty and report results to meet CPL guidelines.
- Maintain departmental inventory and order supplies.
- Work within confidential environment in regard to exam results and student completion.
- Explore and research additional testing opportunities to offer Lakeshore students.
(50%) HIGH SCHOOL CREDENTIALING SERVICES
- Serve as GED Chief Examiner. This includes working with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI), the College and Career Readiness Department, including programs at County Jails, local high school GEDO2 programs, and online On-VUE testers.
- Successfully pass annual GED certification exams for corrections and non-correction testing locations.
- Ensure currency on required state Civics exam, serving as the conduit to faculty/staff for any changes in the exam.
- Serve as resource to administrators, faculty, staff, high schools, jail administration, and employers in setting policies and procedures regarding available assessments, exam processes and procedures.
- Responsible for regulation enforcement and adherence to the strict GED/HSED rules set forth by Pearson Vue, GED Testing Service, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and the Department of Education.
- Maintain and update Pearson Vue Site Manager, Registration Manager, Admissions Manager and perform software updates.
- Review and report HSED 5.09 completion to DPI, ensuring consistency of requirements with Adult Education faculty, including credit for prior learning options.
- Review and report other HSED option completion to DPI, staying current with regulation and requirements.
- Teach the orientation session for GEDO-2 high school instructors.
- Serve as primary district contact for GEDO-2 instructors. Evaluate high school transcripts for credit acceptance.
- Serve as GED-Option 1 contact and resource for area high schools. Administer Nelson-Denny reading assessment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a related discipline required.
- Three to five years of relevant occupational experience required.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:
- GED and Accuplacer certification required within 3 months of hire, and annually thereafter.
- Additional certifications may be required to proctor assessments as needed.
