Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Recreation Manager to oversee and enhance the recreational programs and services within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a background in events management. This role requires effective shift management and the ability to create an engaging environment for guests while ensuring operational excellence.
Recreational Facility Operations:
- Oversee daily operations of bowling facilities
- Manage mini golf course operations
- Operate and maintain golf simulator once installed
- Assist with scoring systems, both software and hardware
- Troubleshoot technical issues with recreational equipment
- Introduce customer to new bowling software games
Facility Maintenance:
- Oversee/Inspect work completed by outside facility maintenance personnel to ensure work is done properly
- Maintain cleanliness of all recreational areas
- Oversee bathroom facility cleanliness and maintenance
- Ensure mini golf grounds are properly maintained
- Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance
Management & Development:
- Work collaboratively with Haven Hospitality Management Team
- Introduce and implement new recreational activities
- Develop and execute promotional strategies
- Work with other Managers to maintain and grow social media presence
- Work with existing bowling league leadership to continue to grow participation
- Organize and develop new bowling leagues (youth and industry)
- Research and provide executive team with ideas for additional attractions
Financial Responsibilities:
- Operate lottery systems
- Manage bowling and mini golf cash drawers
- Process transactions and maintain accurate records
- Report financial data to management team
- Review bowling revenue performance.
- Assess opportunities to increase bowling revenues and revenues of other recreational activities
Additional Duties:
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by management
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Previous experience in a managerial role within recreation, hospitality, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Proficiency in report writing to communicate program outcomes effectively.
- Experience in events management and coordinating large-scale activities.
- Familiarity with nightclub operations or restaurant environments is a plus.
- Ability to manage shifts effectively while leading a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and staff professionally.
- Cash handling experience is required to ensure financial accuracy.
