Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Expediter to join our dynamic team in the restaurant industry. The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered promptly, maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making it ideal for individuals with a background in food service or hospitality.
This is a seasonal position from Memorial Day weekend- the end of September. This is also a tipped out position.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, supporting cooks and kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensure all food safety and handling procedures are strictly followed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or special requests from customers.
- Help with bussing tables and providing excellent customer service to enhance the dining experience.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and report any shortages to management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to assist in various roles within the kitchen as needed, including cooking tasks when necessary.
