Join Our Team as a Human Resources Generalist!
Are you passionate about people and making a real impact in the workplace? At Lakeside Book Company, we’re looking for a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to support our team and help foster a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.
As our HR Generalist, you’ll play a crucial role in employee relations, talent acquisition, training, and workplace culture. You’ll be the go-to resource for employees, ensuring they feel supported, heard, and valued while driving HR strategies that align with our company’s vision.
What You’ll Do:
- Be a Trusted Partner – Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Champion Employee Engagement – Foster a positive workplace culture by supporting open communication and proactive employee relations
- Lead Talent Acquisition – Manage the recruitment and hiring process, from sourcing top talent to onboarding new team members
- Support Training & Development – Assist in implementing training programs that enhance employee skills, compliance, and leadership capabilities
- Ensure Compliance & Best Practices – Maintain personnel records, oversee benefits administration, and advise on workplace policies to ensure legal compliance
- Collaborate & Innovate – Work closely with leadership to enhance HR programs and drive continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field, plus 3-5 years of HR experience (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate employee relations with professionalism and care
- Excellent communication skills—you’re a great listener and a clear, confident speaker
- Tech-savvy with experience in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of employment laws, recruitment, safety, and compliance best practices
