This location is a Distribution Center. Overtime opportunities are available throughout the summer months. Throughout June- September will include mandatory and overtime hours based on needs of the business.

Are you looking for a hands-on position in a fast paced environment where your contributions matter? Lakeside Book Company is currently seeking a Seasonal Picker/Packer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be an essential part of our operations, ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. Responsibilities

• Accurately pick products from inventory based on order requests.
• Prepare items for shipment by ensuring they are packed securely and labeled correctly.
• Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock is accurate and up to date.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and maintain productivity standards.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in receiving and putting away incoming shipments as needed.
• Communicate with supervisors to report any discrepancies or issues with orders.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment required.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, stoop, reach, and carry up to 50lbs, during an 8 to 10-hour shift.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime which could include Saturdays.
• Basic math skills for accuracy in order picking and counting.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technology.

Pay, Shift, & Location

• Pay - $17.50/hr
• Shift – Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with mandatory overtime as required.
• Location – 5550 W. 74th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46268
• This is a seasonal position beginning as early as April and lasting through the duration of our peak season, with no guarantee of a permanent role offer.
