A Preschool Teacher with the Lakeside Christian Academy provides enrichment to LCA students. With the support of LCA leadership, they will lead the instruction of their assigned classroom, driving the STEAM and Bible based curriculum.

Responsibilities
- Develop a plan for children within the preschool.
- Provide nutritious snacks and lunches.
- Talk with parents about behavioral concerns and wins.
- Develop activities to stimulate the children's developmental growth.
- Enforce policies and procedures for inside and outside the classroom.
- Become familiar with emergency procedures and protocol.
- Clean and sterilize equipment and toys daily.
- Provide weekly schedules for children and parents.
- Ensure cabinets are locked and cleaning supplies out of reach.
- Supervise children at all times.
- Create arts and crafts for children.
- Comfort children in times of need.
- Encourage children with expressions of support
- Discuss development with parents.
- Identify problems and convene with professionals if necessary.
- Participate in fundraising for the school.
- Promote literacy and early education.
- Collaborate with and assist teammates to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate Christian curriculum that follows the standards for the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards (FELDS)
- Support children’s learning by implementing lesson plans
- Communicate with families both verbally and in writing
- Active engagement with students and participation in classroom activities at all time
- Maintain an organized and clean classroom environment conducive to play-based learning
Requirements
- 1 years of teaching experience (Preferred)
- CDA or Associates Degree (Preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Candidates must meet all DCF requirements and must pass the appropriate background check
- General computer proficiency
