Interested in being a lifeguard at Lakeside? We are looking for hard working, friendly, and knowledgeable staff who are at least 16 years old. Not lifeguard certified? We can certify you! Pay starts at $15/hr for lifeguarding and only goes up from there! Lifeguard supervisors must be at least 18 years old and have at least three years of lifeguarding experience.

Job Summary: The lifeguard position ensures the safety of members and guests at the pool, at camp, and assists with aquatic programs and pool operation in a manner that ensures a positive experience.
Job Duties:
- Safeguards and regulates conduct of pool patrons. Enforces policies, rules, and regulations. Rescues members and guests, and performs appropriate follow-up procedures, including the proper use of equipment in the performance of first aid.
- Tests water quality in pool and maintains appropriate records. Assists in the proper maintenance and sanitary up keep of the pool and pool area.
- Attends in-service training and instructs certain skills to staff. Conducts patron swimming test to assess ability to swim independently and unattended. Provides customer service to members and guests, including handling conflict and complaints, as necessary.
- Performs work safely in accordance with department safety procedures. Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practice to supervisor.
- Monitors children at camp; and in non-aquatic areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned
