In-School Counselor - Full time

Description:

Work with high school students grades 7-12, attending Mastery Schools, helping them identify, manage, and overcome the challenges that are negatively impacting their education. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to share the tools and strategies that will best support each individual student.

Locations: Lenfest Campus, Center City Phila, PA 19106

This is a permanent full-time position working the school year, with 8 weeks off in the summer.

Description:

• Individual and Group Services
• Support students and assess their needs as they relate to behavioral goals, future planning and available services.
• Consult and collaborate with other professionals regarding students’ treatment, progress, and delivery of services.
• Collaborate with and educate staff regarding behavioral needs of students.
• Assist with crisis response as needed.

Requirements:

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related mental health field.
• License preferred (LPC, LSW, LCSW, or LMFT).
• Excellent interpersonal skills with students, families, colleagues, and community resources.
• Experience working within a school setting desired.
