What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Server (Part-Time) position at Lakeside Hotel Casino?
Summary: Serving guests of the restaurant in a timely, efficient and friendly manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other duties may be assigned:
- Serve and refill guest beverages.
- Take guest orders, serve their food, and check in on their needs as they dine.
- Knowledgeable of food, wine, and drink menus.
- Perform daily needed side work as supervisor or lead assigns.
- Assisting in clearing plates and keeping the restaurant areas clean.
- Practices responsible alcohol service practices to include proper ID verification.
- Maintain customer service standards applicable in the restaurant.
- Take all customer complaints to the supervisor or manager when present.
- Keep workstations clean, meeting Health Sanitation regulations.
- Display a positive attitude towards guests and co-workers.
- Maintain strict confidence regarding company-related matters.
- Comply with company and department policies and procedures.
- Responsible for clocking in and out on time according to work schedule.
- Responsible for maintaining the personal hygiene standards in accordance with the companies’ standards.
- Maintain and understand compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Enforce all policies and procedures.
- Perform all job functions safely and responsibly.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable Gaming License.
SKILLS
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English in all manners.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Basic computer or Point-Of-Sale system experience preferred.
