SUMMARY: The Slot Technician I maintains and repairs all electronic slot equipment promptly and efficiently.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS INCLUDE (Other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Adjust and repair slot machines, replacing worn or defective electrical or mechanical parts using hand tools.
- Use of tech card.
- Assist in testing, bench repairs, and evaluation of slot machine monitors.
- Maintain other casino electronic devices.
- Conduct general maintenance and service on all machines and equipment.
- Assist in examining defective machines to diagnose causes of malfunctions.
- Conduct daily inspections of machines and equipment.
- Participate in the programming or repair of progressive gaming and other electronic displays.
- Display a positive attitude towards guests and co-workers.
- Comply with company and department policies and procedures.
- Responsible for clocking in and out on time according to work schedule.
- Maintain and understand compliance with IRGC, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform all job functions safely and responsibly.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Gaming License.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities. All Employees must know all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous casino slot technician experience preferred.
SKILLS
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English in all manners.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Basic computer experience preferred.
