Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to manage tenant communications and leasing operations at Waterside Apartments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, excellent conflict resolution skills, and familiarity with property management practices. You will play a key role in maintaining high tenant satisfaction while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
As a Leasing Agent, you will:
Manage the leasing process from start to finish, including marketing available units, conducting property tours, and processing applications.
Handle tenant communications, including inquiries, concerns, and lease renewals.
Assist tenants with move-in processes, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
Conduct regular unit inspections to ensure they meet quality and company standards.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants to enhance satisfaction and retention.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies throughout the leasing process.
Use Yardi or similar property management software for accurate record-keeping and data entry.
Collaborate with the property management team to develop strategies for maximizing occupancy rates and minimizing turnover.
Oversee and track property maintenance requests using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in leasing or property management (preferred).
Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and compliance requirements (a plus).
Excellent conflict resolution and customer relationship management skills.
Spanish language skills (a plus).
Proficient phone etiquette and communication skills for engaging tenants and vendors effectively.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for data entry and file management.
Experience with Yardi or similar property management software (preferred).
Familiarity with CMMS for maintenance request tracking (a plus).
