What it's like to be a Assembler- Wood Products
As a Full-Time Assembler- Wood Products at Lakeside Manufacturing, Inc., you will play a crucial role in constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures using laminate, wood, plywood, and wallboard. Your day will involve studying blueprints and sketches to determine the necessary materials and precise dimensions for each project. Collaborating with the Engineering team, you'll ensure designs are efficient and feasible for manufacturing.
Preparing layouts, marking cutting and assembly lines, and shaping materials to exact measurements are essential parts of your responsibilities. You'll assemble cut and shaped components using nails, dowel pins, or glue, while adeptly programming and operating our CNC Wood Router and edgebander. Additionally, you'll hand-edge complex laminate designs, lay up laminate and veneer on substrate sheets, and slot and T-mold panels.
A general knowledge of woodworking tools such as table saws and trim routers will be invaluable in executing these tasks efficiently.
