Marina Operations Manager

Position Overview: Lakeside Marina is seeking a Marina Operations Manager to oversee and maintain the daily operations of our marina, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our customers. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working outdoors, has a strong work ethic, and thrives in a hands-on leadership position.

Employment & Schedule: This position is available as either full-time or part-time based on the applicant's availability and desired workload.

• Part-Time applicants should expect a 45-55 hour workweek from May through September with a schedule primarily focused on weekends: Friday (9:00AM to 5:00PM), Saturdays (9:00AM to 8:00PM), and Sundays (9:00AM - 6:00PM). Time off will be designated to weekdays.
• Full-Time applicants should expect a similar weekend-focused schedule during the season (May - September), but will transition to a more flexible 30-40 hour workweek in the off-season, working 4-5 days per week with minimal weekend requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain overall organization and cleanliness of marina properties, including buildings, docks, and grounds.
• Perform and/or oversee basic maintenance tasks related to marina facilities, including minor repairs, landscaping, and general upkeep.
• Manage and oversee our Boat Club, In & Out Valet Service, and Slip programs, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Manage customer contracts and agreements for aforementioned programs.
• Lead, schedule, and manage a team of seasonal dockhands/employees to ensure efficient marina operations.
• Haul and transport boats from storage facilities, assist with launching and loading boats, and operate boats.
• Refuel and clean customer and/or marina owned boats as needed.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Be self-managed and self-motivated.
• Comfortable working in an outdoor environment and performing physical tasks.
• Ability to operate boats is a plus, but not required (training can be provided).
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive customer-focused attitude.
• Good communication skills and ability to effectively manage a small team.
