Job Title: Training Mentor (Part-Time)
Hours: 15-20 hours per week (Afternoons)
Location: Oshkosh
Job Summary:
Lakeside Packaging Plus (LPP) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Training Mentor to support individuals participating in our Community Prevocational Services (CBPS) program. This role is essential in helping individuals with diverse abilities gain hands-on experience, develop job and life skills, and explore career opportunities through volunteer work at non-profit sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site coaching and guidance to small groups (3-4 associates) at volunteer sites.
- Support individuals in learning new job skills and building confidence in a real-world setting.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages independence and personal growth.
- Assist in the development of life skills necessary for community engagement and future employment.
- Adapt coaching methods to meet individual learning styles and abilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteer site partners to ensure a meaningful experience.
- Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of participant experiences and skill development.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members to share insights and updates.
- Safely transport participants to and from volunteer sites using an agency vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Must be willing and able to drive an agency vehicle to transport participants.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
- Experience working with individuals with diverse abilities preferred.
- Passion for mentoring and coaching individuals in a work-based learning setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to encourage, motivate, and adapt to participants' needs.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass background checks as required.
Compensation: Hourly wage based on experience.
