What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Lakeside Project Solutions LLC?
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting of our fast-paced, high transactional business, Lakeside Project Solutions. We are a strategic, metrics driven, facilities management partner with nationwide businesses. This is a full-time position in our dog-friendly Denver, NC business office and reports to the company Controller.
As the Staff Accountant, you will generally perform these job functions:
Accurately maintain the financial records according to company policy and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Effectively manage a high level of requests from all stakeholders
- Assist the administration team in general administrative duties (phone, filing, mail, etc…)
- Perform Accounts Payable related activities
- Assist the A/R and Invoicing team with Accounts Receivable activities
- Resolve financial related discrepancies from vendors, staff, and clients
- Complete timely Month End and Year End Procedures
- Assist in the design of more efficient processes
- Implement and train on updated policies, procedures and controls with the team
- Prepare and record management and accounting reports as directed
What you have:
Three to Five years of professional experience in accounting with higher education in a related field
- Accounting experience in a related field such as Construction or Facilities Maintenance
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
Impeccable customer service skills with all stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail for data accuracy
- Ability to prioritize work and succeed under deadlines
- Effective ability to unravel complex problems into accurate resolutions
- High level of maturity, integrity, and personal effectiveness
- A pursuit of uncertainty with independent drive to produce accurate results
- Organization, follow through and proven tools utilized to control a high level of data
- Flexibility to meet the changing needs of a small business
