Vice President of Manufacturing
The Vice President of Manufacturing will direct and coordinate the activities of manufacturing in processing materials and manufacturing products. This position is a highly visible and responsible role that is of great significance within the company with accountability to uphold the quality and standards of the organization. This position drives continuous improvement for long-term productivity gains, cost reduction and waste elimination.
Responsibilities
- Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of Manufacturing, Safety, Tooling, Maintenance Quality, Technical and Engineering.
- Set all operations department goals for Manufacturing, Safety, Tooling, Maintenance, Quality, Technical and Engineering.
- Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
- Organizational development for Managers.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Coaching Managers and Supervisors with direct reporting; including identifying training needs of direct reports.
- Conduct Performance Reviews on direct reports.
- Participates in policy development.
- Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
- Participates in budget process and capital improvement planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration; MBA preferred.
- Previous Leadership experience within the metal casting/foundry industry
- Working knowledge and understanding of ERP systems (Odyssey a plus).
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
Salary : $175,000 - $225,000
