Description
Administrative Support
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the building administration, including managing schedules, appointments, and correspondence.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings, conferences, and school events.
- Maintain accurate records and files related to student enrollment, staff attendance, and school policies.
Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from students, parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Draft, proofread, and distribute communications such as memos, newsletters, and announcements.
- Facilitate communication between building administration, teachers, and other school personnel.
Information Management
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information such as student records, disciplinary actions, and personnel matters.
- Organize and update databases, student files, and administrative documents.
- Generate reports and summaries as requested by the building administration.
Coordination and Liaison
- Coordinate administrative tasks across different departments within the school.
- Serve as a liaison between the JH building and other school offices, ensuring smooth workflow and collaboration.
- Assist in coordinating special events, school assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
Student Services Support
- Assist with student registration, enrollment, and transfer processes.
- Manage student attendance records and tardy/absence notifications.
- Support the implementation of student discipline policies and procedures as directed by the administration.
Office Management
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
- Ensure the efficient operation of office equipment and technology resources.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new administrative staff.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a secretarial or administrative support role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with school administrative processes, student recordkeeping, and educational software systems is advantageous.
This position begins July 2025 and is contracted for 240 days.
Salary ranges from (minimum) $30,578 to (maximum) $36,143 - based on the 24/25 SY salary schedule. Salary is based on experience. Complete classified pay-scale can be found on our school website.
