What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spring 2025 Middle School Co-ed Ultimate Coaches position at Lakeside School?
- Compliance with all Lakeside School and Disc Northwest policies and procedures.
- Commitment to providing supports, messaging, actions, and opportunities to a diverse student body who come to school with different and evolving lived experiences and levels of preparation as athletes.
- Supervision and instruction of student-athletes during team activities.
- Maintenance and inventory of team equipment and apparel.
- Attendance at required program and interscholastic athletics program meetings.
- Support of multi-sport participation for student-athletes.
- Promotion of balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes.
- At least 19 years of age with a clean driving record.
- Availability for all practices (twice per week for 75 minutes at either 3:45 or 5 pm) and competitions (weekends) during their coaching season.
- Experience playing or coaching Ultimate at the club, middle school, high school or college level.
- Demonstrated cultural awareness, including knowledge of themselves and the cultural lenses they bring to interactions. Candidates will understand different perspectives, interact respectfully with cultures other than their own, and cultivate meaningful relationships with people who have different cultural frameworks.
- Possess or obtain prior to the start of the season current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Satisfactorily complete two criminal background checks.

Lakeside School, an independent 5-12 coeducational day school located in North Seattle is currently recruiting for Middle School Assistant Co-ed Ultimate Coaches. The season is scheduled to begin Monday, March 3, 2025 and concludes in May. Required orientation meetings will occur in late February in the afternoon.Middle School
Responsibilities
These coaches, reporting to the director and associate director of athletics, will join an athletics program that includes 26 varsity teams, most of which have both sub-varsity and middle-school counterparts. The Ultimate program supports a boys varsity and JV team at the high school (fall season) and a high school girls team in the spring along with this co-ed team. These coaches will be responsible for coaching duties with their teams, as well as other program-wide duties as assigned by the director and assistant director. Specific responsibilities include:

Stipend Range: $1,200-$1,800
We offer a stipend schedule that compares favorably with peer schools and clubs both locally and nationally. Coaching stipends are paid in monthly installments.
