What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional - Instructional Aide position at Lakeside Union School District?
To assist in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning school environment in which students benefit from instructional program. 1. Demonstration of at least one of the following:
a. Completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education.
b. Possession of an associate’s degree or higher.
c. Through a local or state assessment, that is appropriate to the responsibilities to be
assigned to the paraprofessional, knowledge of, and ability to assist in, instructing
reading, writing, and mathematics.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics skills up to or exceeding
that required for high school seniors.
3. Ability to follow oral and written directions.
4. Knowledge of basic clerical procedures.
5. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a multiethnic environment.
6. Bilingual ability may be required, depending on assignment.
