What are the responsibilities and job description for the Capital Markets Associate position at Lakestone Staffing?
Overview
This role will work with the investing team and external financing partners to deliver debt deals that support new and existing portfolio companies. You will also be collaborating directly with the broader capital markets team, deal team, portfolio company management teams, and external financing partners. This role will be instrumental in building systems and processes required to scale the Capital Markets function.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of all new deals, recapitalizations, and incremental debt facility raises, ensuring efficient and effective outcomes.
- Drive and execute add-on investments and debt upsizes from initial kick-off through to close, demonstrating a proven track record of success with minimal oversight.
- Analyze current portfolio capital structures, identifying areas for optimization and proposing strategic improvements to maximize returns.
- Develop robust capital market infrastructure, including project management trackers, secure data rooms, comprehensive lender models, and executive summary decks.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with third-party lenders and essential service providers to support the firm’s financial strategy.
- Lead project management efforts, anticipating next steps and executing without needing reminders, effectively managing timelines and keeping all parties informed and engaged.
Required
- 2-4 years of experience in finance, ideally at a private equity firm, investment bank, or direct lender, with a strong understanding of the syndicated and direct lending markets.
- Strong business acumen; ability to identify critical success factors and make informed, strategic decisions.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to engage and manage service providers efficiently and cultivate lasting connections both internally and externally.
Bonus Qualifications
- FINRA - Series 79 Certification
- FINRA - Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
- Experience working in leveraged finance teams at an investment bank.

Compensation
The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $150,000-200,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
