What are the responsibilities and job description for the HQ Capital Markets Analyst position at Lakestone Staffing?
Our client is looking for a new team member to work with their investing team and external financing partners to deliver ready-to-sign debt deals that support new and existing portfolio companies, while collaborating directly with the broader capital markets team, deal team, portfolio company management teams, and external financing partners. This role will be instrumental in building the systems and processes required to scale the client's function and offers a unique opportunity to join a lean, entrepreneurial, and fast-growing team. The current team closed 20 credit facilities last year (2023) alone –leading to the achievement of #8 most active sponsor in the direct lending market per KBRA Analytics (tying with Thoma Bravo).
Responsibilities
• Support deal execution by managing timelines and coordinating critical tasks, such as setting up lender calls, distributing term sheets and financing grids, and preparing transaction materials with precision.
• Create and maintain comprehensive lender outreach and feedback trackers, ensuring timely updates and smooth communication with external parties.
• Oversee the management of virtual data rooms (VDRs), organizing documentation for easy access and secure sharing with relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate logistics for lender communications, including scheduling calls, preparing agendas, and ensuring follow-ups are efficiently managed.
• Own the preparation and accuracy of all materials, maintaining a "buck stops here" mentality with full accountability and attention to detail.
• Apply capital markets expertise to anticipate next steps and advise the team on strategic plans, with support.
• Collaborate with team members to track project milestones, proactively ensuring all deliverables are on time and up to standard.
• Contribute to internal processes by building and maintaining organizational systems that support seamless execution and continuous improvement.
• Produce dependable and consistently accurate work, delivering outputs that are trusted and reliable, while proactively identifying areas where additional review or support is necessary.
• Engage actively in all firm-wide meetings, strategic retreats, and professional development opportunities to contribute to and align with organizational goals.
• Travel domestically for conferences and internal firm gatherings at least twice per quarter.
• 4 days in office per week
Qualifications
• 1-3 years of experience in finance, ideally at a private equity firm, investment bank, or direct lender, with a strong understanding of the syndicated and direct lending markets. We are eager to meet candidates with experience working in leveraged finance teams at an investment bank.
• Strong business acumen; ability to identify critical success factors and make informed, strategic decisions.
