Located in Jacksonville, FL, Lakeview Health is a Joint Commission accredited facility specializing in the treatment of chemical dependency, dual diagnoses, alcoholism, and associated mental disorders. The Lakeview Health’s alcohol and drug addiction treatment center was created to provide those persons suffering from drug addiction, alcoholism, and dual disorders with a suitable drug rehab environment in order to produce quality long term recovery. The touchstone of Lakeview’s addiction treatment center is found in our ability to separate symptoms from core issues, while effectively treating the whole person.
We are looking for a Medical Director to lead our medical team. The Medical Director will be responsible for assisting in the creation, development, and compliance of all medical policies, directives, rules, regulations, and performance standards of the state, federal government, hospital, and accrediting bodies. Here you will be responsible for providing high quality patient care that meets or exceed the standards and guidelines recommended by Joint Commission and other regulatory and payer groups. This position will supervises staff following established guidelines as required and within the established scope of practice. Works closely with both administrative staff and members of the medical staff and its leadership to maintain the high quality of medical care and to assist in the promotion of medical staff participation in furthering the mission of the organization.
Requirements:
- Medical Degree from an accredited university.
- Current and valid (Florida) License, DEA Number, and evidence of Board Certification.
- At least 6 years experience overseeing medical staff.
- Experience and/or credentials in addiction, chemical dependence and psychiatric care.
- Providers are expected to take call 1 day a week. Call is via phone and does not require coming into the facility.
