What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interventionist position at LAKEVIEW ELEMENTARY?
This position starts August 7, 2025
This position will provide math focused intervention at a Title I elementary school.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
To plan and implement specialized intervention experiences through high quality instruction for students.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides high quality general education instruction to students who are at-risk in reading, writing and/or mathematics.
2. Uses identified scientific, research-based interventions focused specifically on individual student difficulties.
3. Provides the high quality instructional time needed to move students to grade level proficiency.
4. Monitors program effectiveness by analyzing assessment results at the school level and provides supports to teachers as needed.
5. Attends all meetings and trainings as assigned.
6. Communicates with Principal on school-wide progress of interventions.
7. Utilizes tracking form to maintain lists of students participating in interventions.
8. Provides clear and timely information to parents/caregivers and colleagues regarding classroom expectations, student progress, and ways they can assist learning.
9. Provides high quality general education to students identified as gifted and talented.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
• Accepts other duties as may be assigned which are related to the scope of the job.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND MENTAL ABILITY:
• Strong background in instructional strategies, leadership ability, and content related to school improvement plans.
EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
• Possess all certificates required for the State of Wyoming (Elementary Education Degree). Elementary Education K-6 endorsement required.
• Possess at a minimum a Bachelor's Degree.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
• Be able to spend most of the time inside classrooms with some work outside in cold/hot weather.
• Be able to tolerate noise up to 90 decibels.
• Be able to work in a building that heats with coal.
• Be able to work after dark.
Salary : $52,500 - $82,000
