ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Building and maintaining company’s historical analysis and financial forecasting models.
- Lead the recurring budgeting and forecasting processes and support strategic planning activities.
- Support senior management on projects and assignments.
- Coordinate schedules and timelines for management budget reviews and approval process.
- Manage the communication and implementation of the approved budgets.
- Strive for constant improvement in the functionality and user acceptance of all planning models.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for revenue enhancement or cost savings.
- Identify and incorporate new measures and benchmarks into the planning and on-going management review processes.
- Develop forecasting and measurement tools that assist in predicting and measuring performance against goals.
- Work closely with Accounting and Finance departments to ensure that planning assumptions are aligned with accounting and reporting standards, and coordinate changes as necessary to support planning assumptions.
- Provide detail analysis on variances to Sr. Financial Management and Executive Management.
- Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance.
- Utilize resources to coordinate analyses and reports that support field management.
- Work closely with all corporate and field departments to solicit input and feedback for the development and implementation of new planning or company strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Provide clear, concise and timely communications on critical issues that involve the department.
- Proactively collaborate with other departments and team members to promptly resolve issues.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
Required:
- Ability to develop and maintain data management systems and spreadsheets with a high focus on detail accuracy.
- Ability to research, prepare, and present reports.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of personalities and positions, including senior executives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong budgeting and P&L management skills.
- Intermediate skill level with computer software programs such as Microsoft Excel and Access with particular focus on financial modeling and use of advance functions (Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, Arrays, Lookups, etc.)
- High skill level with computer software programs such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions.
- Ability to analyze complex financial information.
- Ability to design and prepare detailed (but concise), clearly written Financial reports and analysis.
- Ability to think strategically and operate effectively with management.
- Ability to thrive working independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, mathematics, engineering, economics or statistics field is required
- Master’s degree in any of the above is preferred
