Overview
We are seeking a motivated End-User Computing (EUC) Intern to join our IT team and gain hands-on experience in managing and maintaining desktop computing environments. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to support end-users, troubleshoot hardware / software issues, and assist with deploying desktop systems using Microsoft technologies. This internship provides a unique opportunity to develop technical skills and gain real-world exposure to desktop management tools and processes in a professional IT environment.
Responsibilities
Desktop Support and Troubleshooting :
o Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows 10 / 11 desktops, laptops, and virtual desktops.
o Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for end-user issues, including hardware, operating systems, and software.
o Support remote users by helping to manage VPN connections and secure access solutions.
System Deployment and Management :
o Learn to use tools such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) or Windows Deployment Services (WDS) to image and deploy desktops.
o Assist in software deployment and updates using tools like Microsoft SCCM or Intune.
Automation and Scripting :
o Support basic automation tasks using PowerShell scripting to simplify desktop management processes.
Security and Compliance :
o Assist in applying group policies, performing updates, and ensuring desktops meet organizational security standards.
o Collaborate with the team to monitor antivirus solutions and address vulnerabilities.
Documentation :
o Update technical documentation, including system configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
o Assist in creating end-user guides and documentation for common IT support tasks.
Collaboration and Learning :
o Work with senior engineers and IT teams to gain an understanding of broader IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
o Learn best practices for managing end-user computing environments in a professional setting.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
o Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills :
o Basic understanding of Windows operating systems (Windows 10 / 11) and desktop support.
o Familiarity with Microsoft tools such as Active Directory, Group Policy, or Office 365.
o Interest in learning scripting tools like PowerShell.
o Understanding of basic networking concepts (VPN, DNS, TCP / IP) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) :
o Exposure to tools like Microsoft SCCM, Intune, or deployment technologies.
o Knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) or virtual desktop environments.
o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Role pays $20.00 / hr
