JOB SUMMARY
The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients in collaboration with a licensed physician. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner works within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
In this role, you will have a schedule of 3 12hr shifts with every other weekend and holiday. Shift will be 10am-10pm.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required : Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Program.
Preferred / Optional : None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required : Six months in specialty.
Preferred / Optional : One year in specialty.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required : Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants / Nurse Practitioner. Must be eligible to obtain or already hold a current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department / location).
Preferred / Optional : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
