What You'll Do
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll work closely with mechanical engineers to build and program machines. You'll choose the right parts, draw up plans, and make sure everything runs smoothly. You'll also visit customer sites to set up your work, seeing firsthand how your designs come to life!
Here's a glimpse of your day-to-day :
- Team Collaboration : Work with mechanical engineers to understand how each machine should function.
- Choose the Right Parts : Pick out control components like PLCs, HMIs, servos, sensors, and safety parts.
- Create Schematics : Use AutoCAD to design control schematics.
- Program the System : Write ladder logic for PLCs and develop easy-to-use HMI screens.
- Integrate and Test : Make sure our machines can work well with other equipment and test them before they ship.
- Stay Connected with Customers : Communicate with customers through design, build, and setup stages.
- On-Site Setup : Travel to customer locations for final setup, about 15% of the time.
