Qualifications for all positions include the ability to work as a team member within this department AND all other departments, reliable transportation, valid driver’s license with good record, working outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time, including pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, or lifting up to 50 pounds. Some positions may require lifting more than 50 pounds. While an individual may be assigned to this role, situations may arise which would REQUIRE assistance in other areas or departments.
Position Summary:
The Kitchen Food Expeditor is a crucial link between the front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately, plated correctly, and delivered to guests in a timely and organized manner. At Lakewood Camping Resort, the Expeditor plays a key role in maintaining our high standards of quality and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, family-friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate communication between kitchen staff and servers to ensure efficient service
- Check completed orders for accuracy, presentation, and temperature before releasing them to servers or food runners
- Maintain proper flow and timing of ticket orders, ensuring meals are sent out promptly
- Assist in organizing the pass (hotline) to ensure plates are properly garnished and stocked with condiments
- Prioritize and manage multiple orders during peak service hours
- Communicate any delays, special requests, or issues to kitchen staff or service team
- Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards
- Support kitchen and service staff with additional duties as needed
- May be asked to perform other duties in other departments as assigned by supervisor or manager
