What We're Looking For:
The Capital Project Manager is responsible for managing a variety of projects, as defined by the Director of Capital Projects, including new construction and renovations for 11 hotels, 2 commercial laundry facilities and 1 office building. The position partners with hotel management teams, Architects, Engineers, Consultants, Contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

- Problem solver able to identify and resolve challenges independently to include people, processes and systems.

What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage all aspects of assigned capital projects, including developing scope, timelines, and resource allocation for each project. Serves as the key person in charge of the day-to-day project management and contract administration.
- Work closely with hotel management teams to ensure project alignment with goals.
- Create and manage project budgets, forecasting costs, and ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively to achieve project goals.
- Monitor project progress and quality, ensuring that work meets established standards.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, utilizing critical thinking to adapt plans and ensure successful implementation.
- Negotiate and manage contracts and relationships with consultants, vendors and contractors, exercising independent judgment to select and oversee external partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Anticipates project and team risks; Solves complex challenges and conflicts
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during project execution, adapting plans as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
- Analyze project outcomes and provide recommendations for future projects, utilizing independent judgment to evaluate success and areas for improvement.
- Ensure all projects comply with goals and assess potential risks to mitigate issues proactively.
Your Experience Includes:
- Bachelor's degree in construction or related field preferred.
- Experience in commercial construction project management; hotel environment, preferred.
- Experience should include writing scopes of work.
- Highly competent in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and other capital planning tools to streamline project timelines, track budgets, and drive efficiency in planning and execution processes.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Bluebeam knowledge needed
