What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping/Laundry Aide 11AM-7PM position at Lakewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare?
JOB DESCRIPTION
Clean floors, including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, damp and/or wet mopping, and disinfecting.
Clean and/or polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, heating and cooling units, etc. in resident rooms, recreational areas and offices as instructed.
Clean, wash, sanitize and polish resident rooms and common area bathroom fixtures.
Clean offices, hallways, stairways and elevator.
Other duties as assinged.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
1. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities requires demonstrated ability to maintain the physical environment in a clean, safe, and attractive condition in accordance with facility specifications. Position requires prolonged standing, walking, frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and requires moving of heavy furniture; lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
2. Education: High school graduate or GED preferred.
3. Experience: Previous work experience in housekeeping preferred. Previous experience in the health care industry is ideal.
