Position Overview

We are actively seeking an astute and driven Management Consultant to augment our consulting capabilities. In this capacity, you will be tasked with identifying, dissecting, and resolving clients' most exigent business dilemmas through bespoke, pragmatic strategies. Leveraging your analytical acumen, strategic foresight, and leadership capabilities, you will deliver tangible, scalable impact across various business functions.

This role demands a sophisticated grasp of business ecosystems, exceptional interpersonal dexterity, and the ability to navigate and influence organizational hierarchies. Key Responsibilities

As a Management Consultant at Lako, you will be expected to perform the following functions:

Client Engagement & Impact
  • Foster deep collaborative relationships with clients to uncover their most pressing strategic imperatives.
  • Formulate and propose customized, data-driven strategic recommendations to mitigate identified pain points while aligning with overarching business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain trusted advisory roles with executive-level stakeholders by demonstrating nuanced industry insights and domain-specific expertise.
  • Present meticulously curated insights and solutions to C-suite executives and other decision-makers to facilitate informed, high-impact decision-making processes.
  • Spearhead change management initiatives, ensuring that strategic implementations are both practical and sustainable.
  • Identify and advocate for continuous operational improvements, ensuring enduring value delivery beyond immediate engagements.
Problem-Solving & Analysis
  • Conduct rigorous market intelligence gathering, encompassing competitive benchmarking and financial performance analysis, to underpin strategic recommendations.
  • Employ structured problem-solving methodologies to deconstruct complex, ambiguous challenges into clear, actionable components.
  • Develop and track relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) to ascertain progress toward client goals and validate strategic efficacy.
  • Synthesize both qualitative and quantitative datasets into cohesive, compelling narratives that resonate with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Implement a hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving, iteratively refining strategies based on empirical feedback and emerging data.
Project Management & Leadership
  • Oversee discrete workstreams, ensuring the punctual and quality-conscious delivery of critical milestones.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and client counterparts to guarantee project success and alignment with predefined objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior consultants, cultivating a high-performance, knowledge-sharing culture within the organization.
  • Ensure that project deliverables translate into tangible business impact, aligning outcomes with client strategic goals.
  • Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions to foster creative problem-solving within the client’s organization.
Thought Leadership & Innovation
  • Maintain an acute awareness of emerging trends and disruptive technologies, ensuring client solutions remain at the vanguard of industry evolution.
  • Contribute to the firm’s intellectual capital development by codifying best practices, frameworks, and analytical tools.
  • Author and disseminate thought leadership content, including white papers and case studies, to establish Lako’s eminence in the consulting domain.
  • Participate actively in internal professional development initiatives, refining your consultancy proficiency and fostering collective capability enhancement.
  • Propose and advocate for service innovation opportunities, expanding Lako’s service offerings and market positioning.



Key Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications to be considered for this role:

Educational Background
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
  • An MBA or other advanced degree is highly advantageous and will be viewed favorably.
Professional Experience
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a business development role within a high-performance environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in client-facing engagements with senior executives across varied industries.
  • A proven ability to drive impactful outcomes through analytical rigor and strategic execution.

  • Superior critical thinking and analytical skills, particularly with respect to data interpretation and deriving actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated capacity to present sophisticated ideas with clarity and persuasive authority.
